Thanks to its proximity to the capital and scenic location on Puerto Rico's eastern coastline, Humacao remains a frequent stop for many international travelers.
You'll get in some beach time at Reserva Natural Medio Mundo y Daguao and Playa La Pared. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Fishing Charters & Tours and Pterocarpus Forest - Palmas del Mar. For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
On the 24th (Fri), stroll through Playa La Chiva and then enjoy the sand and surf at La Plata Beach. On the 25th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: view the masterpieces at Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery and then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Traveling by combination of car and ferry from Humacao to Isla de Vieques takes 2.5 hours. In December in Isla de Vieques, expect temperatures between 84°F during the day and 75°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Ponce.

Ponce

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. Start off your visit on the 26th (Sun): see the interesting displays at Museo Casa Armstrong Poventud and then get engrossed in the history at Ponce History Museum. Keep things going the next day: get engrossed in the history at Museo de Arte de Ponce and then take in the waterfront at La Guancha de Ponce.

You can do a combination of ferry and car from Isla de Vieques to Ponce in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry, taxi, bus, and car; or do a combination of flight and shuttle. Traveling from Isla de Vieques in December, Ponce is slightly colder at night with lows of 70°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Mon) so you can drive to Guanica.

Guanica

Guánica is a town and municipality in southern Puerto Rico (U.S.), bordering the Caribbean Sea, south of Sabana Grande, east of Lajas, and west of Yauco. On the 28th (Tue), enjoy the sand and surf at Cana Gorda Beach and then delve into the lush surroundings at Bosque Estatal de Guanica.

Getting from Ponce to Guanica by car takes about an hour. In December, daily temperatures in Guanica can reach 80°F, while at night they dip to 70°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Rincon.

A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
On the 29th (Wed), enjoy the sand and surf at Domes Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, and then get up close to creatures of the deep with Fathom Charters. Here are some ideas for day two: kick back and relax at Maria's Beach and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Sandy Beach.

You can drive from Guanica to Rincon in 1.5 hours. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Rincon when traveling from Guanica in December, with lows around 77°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Thu) so you can drive to Aguadilla.
