Newark to San Diego is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Newark to San Diego. Traveling by flight from San Diego to Saratoga Springs takes 9.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is usually a 3 hour difference. In July in Saratoga Springs, expect temperatures between 81°F during the day and 69°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) to allow time to drive back home.
