Known as the capital of country music, the thriving city of Nashville combines old-world southern charm with a progressive urban flair.
Step out of Nashville to go to Bowling Green and see National Corvette Museum, which is approximately 1h 40 min away. And it doesn't end there: see a show at Grand Ole Opry, admire the landmark architecture of Fontanel Mansion, see the interesting displays at RCA Studio B, and get engrossed in the history at Lotz House Museum.

Detroit to Nashville is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. Key Largo

The northernmost island of the Florida Keys, Key Largo provides stunning scenery, a number of watersports opportunities, and plenty of areas to relax on vacation.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Tue): see what you can catch with a fishing tour, identify plant and animal life at Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, and then glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour. Here are some ideas for day two: look for all kinds of wild species at Everglades Alligator Farm, then pause for some photo ops at Christ of the Deep, and then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

You can drive from Miami to Key Largo in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 90°F in August, and nighttime lows around 77°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Wed) early enough to drive to Key West.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): examine the collection at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, look for all kinds of wild species at Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then take a leisurely stroll along Mallory Square, and finally pause for some photo ops at Florida Keys Historical Military Memorial. Keep things going the next day: get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, don't miss a visit to Southernmost Point, and then don't miss a visit to Duval Street.

Getting from Key Largo to Key West by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. In August, plan for daily highs up to 90°F, and evening lows to 81°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Fri) early enough to travel to Orlando.
