Richmond to Anchorage is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. You can also fly; or drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 4 hours traveling from Richmond to Anchorage. When traveling from Richmond in June, plan for colder days in Anchorage, with highs around 66°F, while nights are a bit cooler with lows around 51°F. You'll have a few hours on the 6th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Denali National Park and Preserve.

With its strip malls and fast-food restaurants, Fairbanks appears a bit functional on first glance.

Copper Center

Alaska Starts Here

For most visitors to this part of the world, the wild part of Alaska starts at Seward, a small port city that takes advantage of the region's natural beauty.
On the 12th (Sat), spend an adventurous day with a kayaking and canoeing tour. Spend the 13th (Sun) exploring nature at Kenai Fjords National Park Visitor Center. The adventure continues: observe the fascinating underwater world at Alaska SeaLife Center, explore the activities along Resurrection Bay, and see the world from above with a helicopter tour.

Homer is a city located in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. Fill the 15th (Tue) with the natural beauty at Kachemak Bay State Park.
