One of the island of Hawaii's major towns, Hilo contains a mix of Asian and Polynesian cultures and is known for its proximity to a national park encompassing two active volcanoes.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): immerse yourself in nature at Akaka Falls State Park, get impressive views of Kīlauea, and then take in the exciting artwork at Volcano Art Center. Keep things going the next day: admire the natural beauty at Liliuokalani Gardens, then stroll through Richardson Beach Park, and then explore the striking landscape at Kapoho Tide Pools.

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Relax by the water at Kahekili Beach Park and Ho'okipa Beach Park. Discover out-of-the-way places like Wailea Beach Path and Tamura's Fine Wine & Liquors. Step out of Lahaina to go to Kula and see Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery, which is approximately 48 minutes away. There's more to do: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour and kick back and relax at Ka'anapali Beach.
