Sightseeing in Waco offers many possibilities in a medium-sized town on the Brazos River in central Texas.
Take a break from the city and head to Dinosaur Valley State Park and Inner Space Cavern. Discover out-of-the-way places like Mayborn Museum Complex and Cameron Park Zoo. Venture out of the city with trips to Cleburne State Park (in Cleburne) and Georgetown (The Escape Fine Crafts & Gifts & Historic Williamson County Courthouse). Escape the urban bustle at Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Horseback Riding Tours. Attractions like Black Hills National Forest and Stockade Lake make great kid-friendly stops. Pack the 31st (Fri) with family-friendly diversions at Rushmore Tramway Adventures.
