A major center for tourism and travel, Baltimore is famous as the city where amateur poet Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics for the United States' national anthem.
Museum-lovers will appreciate USS Torsk and Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum. Visiting Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine and Quiet Waters Park will get you outdoors. Founded in 1632 as a fortified settlement on the high ground between two rivers, Williamsburg served as a colonial capital of Virginia for over 80 years.
Explore hidden gems such as Boat Tours & Water Sports and Colonial National Historical Park. Escape the urban bustle at Greensprings Greenway Interpretative Trail and Colonial National Historical Park. When in Williamsburg, make a side trip to see Virginia War Museum in Newport News, approximately Newport News away.
