A Red Rock Wonderland

Mother Nature kept reaching for red when she painted Arches National Park's 2,000 sandstone arches, resulting in one of the country's more distinctly shaped and colored landscapes.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Windows and Fiery Furnace. Attractions like Balanced Rock Trail and Moab Rock Shop make great kid-friendly stops. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Arches National Park: Moab (Utah Scenic Byway 279 Rock Art Sites & Road to Needles District) and The Needles (in Canyonlands National Park). There's still lots to do: trek along Park Avenue Trail, tour the pleasant surroundings at Devils Garden Trailhead, take in the dramatic natural features at Sand Dune Arch, and don't miss a visit to Wolfe Ranch.

To find maps, other places to visit, more things to do, and tourist information, read Arches National Park trip planner.

You'll discover tucked-away gems like The Hickman Bridge Trail and Capitol Gorge Trail. Get in touch with nature at Goosenecks Overlook and Anasazi State Park Museum. Go for a jaunt from Capitol Reef National Park to Torrey to see Highway 12 Scenic Byway about 1h 25 min away.
