The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
You'll get in some beach time at Matapeake Clubhouse and Beach and North Beach. Get in touch with nature at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Washington DC: The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring (in Sandy Spring), Antietam National Battlefield (in Sharpsburg) and Annapolis (Ego Alley, Quiet Waters Park, &more). Spend the 13th (Sat) exploring nature at Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens.
