Atlanta — 16 nights

The Capital of the South

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
Explore Atlanta's surroundings by going to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (in Kennesaw), Dahlonega (Consolidated Gold Mine & Gold City Growlers) and Chattanooga (Raccoon Mountain Caverns, Ruby Falls, &more). On the 6th (Sat), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. Dedicate the 4th (Thu) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: stroll through Centennial Olympic Park, contemplate the long history of Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, admire the striking features of Fox Theatre, and see the interesting displays at World of Coca-Cola.

To see photos, more things to do, maps, and other tourist information, use the Atlanta tour planner.
