The Capital of the South
Explore Atlanta's surroundings by going to Chattanooga (Raccoon Mountain Caverns, Ruby Falls, &more), Dahlonega (Consolidated Gold Mine & Gold City Growlers) and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (in Kennesaw). Dedicate the 4th (Thu) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: stroll through Centennial Olympic Park, take an in-depth tour of National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center, admire the masterpieces at National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and see the interesting displays at World of Coca-Cola.
