The town of Telluride is the county seat and most populous town of San Miguel County in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Colorado. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Telluride: Idarado Mine (in Silverton), Ouray (Box Canyon Waterfall & Park, Ouray Alchemist Museum, &more) and Owl Creek Pass and Silver Jack Reservoir (in Ridgway).
