For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Let the collections at NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art capture your imagination. Head to Ron Jon Surf Shop and Winter Park Farmer's Marketfor plenty of shopping. Step out of Orlando to go to DeLand and see Stetson Mansion, which is approximately 1 hour away. Start off your visit on the 22nd (Tue): tour the pleasant surroundings at Crescent Beach, then stroll through Turtle Beach, and then make a trip to Siesta Key Village. Here are some ideas for day two: kick back and relax at Siesta Beach and then immerse yourself in nature at Stump Pass Beach State Park.

Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Head to Lincoln Road and Collins Avenuefor some retail therapy. Escape the urban bustle at South Beach and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. Explore Miami Beach's surroundings by going to Aventura Mall (in Aventura) and Fort Lauderdale Beach (in Fort Lauderdale). Traveling by car from Siesta Key to Miami Beach takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus, flight, and tram. Traveling from Siesta Key in January, Miami Beach is a bit warmer at night with lows of 20°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Sat) so you can travel to Key West.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Head to Uva Wine Shop & Bar and De La Galleryfor plenty of shopping. The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum will appeal to museum buffs. There's lots more to do: immerse yourself in nature at Fort Zachary Taylor, cast your line with Far Out Fishing Charters, look for all kinds of wild species at Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, and stroll the grounds of Key West Cemetery.

A tiny city just 16 km (10 mi) long, Marathon is spread across several islands in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Relax by the water at Bahia Honda State Park and Anne's Beach. Get in touch with nature at Anhinga Trail and Sombrero Beach. When in Marathon, make a side trip to see Gumbo Limbo Trail in Everglades National Park, approximately 1h 25 min away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the architecture and atmosphere at San Pablo Catholic Church and identify plant and animal life at National Key Deer Refuge.
