City of Bridges

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Escape the urban bustle at Mount Washington and McConnells Mill State Park. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Randyland and Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. Get out of town with these interesting Pittsburgh side-trips: Searight Toll House & Museum (in Uniontown), Farmington (Laurel Caverns, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, &more) and Fallingwater (in Mill Run). Spend the 26th (Thu) exploring nature at Friendship Hill National Historic Site. There's still lots to do: admire the natural beauty at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, explore the different monuments and memorials at Allegheny Cemetery, take an in-depth tour of Fort Pitt Museum, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Heinz Memorial Chapel.
