Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. You'll explore and learn at El Museo Castillo Serralles and Ponce History Museum. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Museo de Arte de Ponce and La Guancha. Get out of town with these interesting Ponce side-trips: Casa Museo Federico Degetau (in Aibonito), Casa Canales (in Jayuya) and Pozo de la Virgen Sabana Grande (in Sabana Grande). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Parque de Bombas, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral San Felipe Apostol, contemplate the long history of Museum of Puerto Rico Music, and admire the landmark architecture of Casa Wiechers-Villaronga.

Orlando, USA to Ponce is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Atlantic Standard Time (AST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. When traveling from Orlando in June, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Ponce: temperatures range from 83°F by day to 76°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Fri) early enough to drive to Rincon.

A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
On the 19th (Sat), visit a coastal fixture at Punta Higuera Light House, then explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte de Aguadilla y del Caribe, then visit a coastal fixture at El Faro Park, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Survival Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, then view the masterpieces at Playa Oeste Gallery, and then kick back and relax at Steps Beach.

Traveling by car from Ponce to Rincon takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle and flight. When traveling from Ponce in June, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Rincon: temperatures range from 89°F by day to 81°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sun) so you can travel to Isla de Vieques.

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Fortin Conde de Mirasol Museum and Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery. Puerto Ferro Lighthouse and Gallery Galleon are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's much more to do: explore the activities along Sun Bay, stroll through La Chiva, kick back and relax at Caracas Beach, and step off the mainland to explore Vieques Island.

Traveling by flight from Rincon to Isla de Vieques takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of car, shuttle, and ferry. In June, plan for daily highs up to 87°F, and evening lows to 78°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) so you can travel to Culebra.

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Zoni Beach and Melones Beach. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Museo Historico de Culebra and Culebrita Lighthouse. There's more to do: kick back and relax at Tamarindo Beach and tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Punta Soldado Beach.

Traveling by combination of car and flight from Isla de Vieques to Culebra takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. In June in Culebra, expect temperatures between 89°F during the day and 79°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Sat) to allow time to fly to San Juan.

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S.
Relax by the water at Monserrate Beach and Playa Mar Chiquita. You'll explore and learn at Fundacion Casa Cortes and El Portal Tropical Forest Center. Explore San Juan's surroundings by going to Playa Vega Baja (in Vega Baja) and Balneario Luquillo (in Luquillo). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Old San Juan, appreciate the history behind Paseo de los Presidentes, tour the pleasant surroundings at Isla Verde Beach, and appreciate the extensive heritage of San Juan National Historic Site.
