In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
On the 28th (Fri), steep yourself in history at Iolani Palace, then browse the exhibits of USS Arizona Memorial, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Diamond Head State Monument. On the 29th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: tour the pleasant surroundings at Manoa Falls and then enjoy the sand and surf at Waikiki Beach.
