Founded in 1701 by a French explorer and adventurer, Detroit exerted a profound impact on the world for most of the 20th century.
Get in touch with nature at Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Maumee Bay State Park and The HandleBar Toledo.
