Elgin — 4 nights

Elgin is a city in Cook and Kane counties in the northern part of the U.S. state of Illinois. You'll explore and learn at Volo Auto Museum and Illinois Railway Museum. Take a break from the city and head to Fox River Bike Trail and Volo Bog State Natural Area. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Elgin: Copper Fiddle Distillery (in Lake Zurich), Shalom Memorial Park (in Arlington Heights) and Edward L. Ryerson Conservation Area (in Riverwoods).
