Monument Valley — 17 nights
Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1000ft above the valley floor. Venture out of the city with trips to Chinle (Antelope House Ruin, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, &more), Blanding (Natural Bridges National Monument, Goosenecks State Park, &more) and Four Corners Monument (in Teec Nos Pos). There's lots more to do: see the top attractions with Sightseeing Tours, get great views at Muley Point Overlook, explore the striking landscape at Valley of the Gods, and trek along Wildcat Trail.
To see where to stay, more things to do, other places to visit, and other tourist information, use the Monument Valley day trip planning tool.
September in Monument Valley sees daily highs of 81°F and lows of 52°F at night.
