Reading, is the county seat of Berks County and with a population of 87,575 is the fifth-largest city in Pennsylvania. Explore Reading's surroundings by going to Brandywine River Museum of Art (in Chadds Ford), Longwood Gardens (in Kennett Square) and Brandywine polo (in Toughkenamon). There's lots more to do: admire the sheer force of Ricketts Glen State Park, don't miss a visit to Andy Smith, Artist, take in the history at Valley Forge National Historical Park, and contemplate the long history of Ephrata Cloister.
