Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Golden Fish Gallery and Hudson Beach Glass. We've included these beaches for you: Ponquogue Beach and Shinnecock East County Park. Explore New York City's surroundings by going to Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (in Oceanville), Paumanok Vineyards (in Aquebogue) and Cragsmoor (Cragsmoor Stone Church & Sam's Point Preserve). There's still lots to do: learn about winemaking at Coffee Pot Cellars Tasting Room, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kadampa Meditation Center New York and World Peace Temple, view the masterpieces at DM Weil Gallery, and contemplate the long history of Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
