Family-friendly places like Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and Oklahoma Aquarium will thrill your kids. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Oklahoma City: Stafford Air & Space Museum (in Weatherford), Tiger Safari Zoological Park (in Tuttle) and Lost Creek Safari (in Stillwater). With its strip malls and fast-food restaurants, Fairbanks appears a bit functional on first glance.
Bring the kids along to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Pioneer Park. Step out of Fairbanks to go to Chena Hot Springs and see Chena Hot Springs Resort, which is approximately 1h 20 min away. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, identify plant and animal life at Large Animal Research Station, and shop like a local with University of Alaska Museum of the North.
