Your inner history buff will appreciate James Monroe's Highland and St. John's Episcopal Church. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Barboursville Vineyards and Historic Ruins and Berkeley Plantation. Go for a jaunt from Richmond to Petersburg to see Pamplin Historical Park about 34 minutes away. Traveling from Jackson Hole in August, things will get little chillier in Yellowstone National Park: highs are around 70°F and lows about 38°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Cody.
