You'll find plenty of places to visit near Taos: Vietnam Veterans Memorial (in Angel Fire), Palisades Sill Official Scenic Historic Marker (in Eagle Nest) and El Santuario de Chimayo (in Chimayo). The adventure continues: admire the masterpieces at Ghost Ranch, examine the collection at Mabel Dodge Luhan Historic House, do a tasting at Black Mesa Winery, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at San Francisco de Assisi Mission Church.

Dallas to Taos is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. You'll gain 1 hour traveling from Dallas to Taos due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Dallas in March, you will find days in Taos are little chillier (56°F), and nights are much colder (23°F). On the 4th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Grand Canyon National Park.
