Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Explore hidden gems such as Fire Island National Seashore and The Celery Farm. Take a break from the city and head to Swartswood State Park and High Point State Park. Step out of New York City to go to Long Valley and see Ort Farms, which is approximately 1h 10 min away. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Times Square and contemplate the waterfront views at Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.
