Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at The Strip and M&M'S World Las Vegas. Escape the urban bustle at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and Valley of Fire State Park. When in Las Vegas, make a side trip to see Hoover Dam in Boulder City, approximately 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: ponder the design of Bellagio Fountains, try your luck at Bellagio Hotel and Casino, take in panoramic vistas at Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas, and see the interesting displays at The Neon Museum.

Fly from Monterey to Las Vegas in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle and flight; or drive. Traveling from Monterey in September, you will find days in Las Vegas are much hotter (40°C), and nights are somewhat warmer (26°C).
