Rightly calling itself "America's Hometown," Plymouth holds a prominent place in the nation's history and culture as the site of the first Puritan colony.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Thu): get engrossed in the history at Jenney Museum, then get engrossed in the history at Plimoth Plantation, then pause for some photo ops at Plymouth Rock, and finally contemplate the long history of Mayflower II. On your second day here, get curious at Sandwich Glass Museum, see the interesting displays at Heritage Museums & Gardens, then experience rural life at Coonamessett Farm, and finally stroll through Shining Sea Bikeway.

Traveling by car from Boston to Plymouth takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom and Beach at Daytona Beach will get you outdoors. You'll explore and learn at The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art and NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Get out of town with these interesting Orlando side-trips: BOXELDER (in Sanford), Seminole Rest (in Oak Hill) and Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum (in Ponce Inlet). Pack the 11th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Walt Disney World Resort. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Andy Romano Beachfront Park, admire the landmark architecture of Stetson Mansion, add some entertainment to your itinerary with Happily Ever After Fireworks, and look for all kinds of wild species at Lake Eola Park.
