Advertising itself as the place where the American West begins, Fort Worth stubbornly clings to its cowboy roots, making it a distinctly different town from most other urban centers of its size.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): make a trip to Sundance Square, then steep yourself in history at Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, and then do a tasting at Times Ten Cellars Fort Worth. Keep things going the next day: tee off at Sugar Tree Golf Course and then take in nature's colorful creations at Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
