One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
Appreciate the collections at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Amerind Foundation Museum. Discover out-of-the-way places like K Newby Gallery & Sculpture Garden and Lone Mountain Turquoise. Step out of Tucson with an excursion to Quarles Art Gallery in Benson--about 1h 15 min away. Founded in 1877 as a mining camp, Tombstone became one of the most storied towns of the "Wild West." As one of the last frontier boomtowns in the United States, Tombstone prospered between 1880 and 1890, attracting cattle rustlers and outlaws.
On the 7th (Fri), see the interesting displays at Gunfighter Hall of Fame, then see the interesting displays at Rose Tree Museum and Books, then examine the collection at Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park, and finally take an in-depth tour of O.K. Corral.

The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Wed): admire nature's extreme beauty at Painted Desert, identify plant and animal life at Bearizona Wildlife Park, and then take in breathtaking views at Sycamore Canyon. Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Navajo National Monument. Escape the urban bustle at Antelope Canyon and River Rafting & Tubing. Go for a jaunt from Page to Monument Valley to see Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park about 2 hours away.
