— 18 nights

The Capital of the South
Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.Get a sense of the local culture at Point Park - Lookout Mountain Battlefields and The Georgia Winery. Head to Ponce City Market and Buford Highway Farmers Marketfor plenty of shopping. Venture out of the city with trips to Fort Oglethorpe (Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park & Chickamauga Battlefield), Dalton Distillery (in Dalton) and LaGrange (Hills & Dales Estate & Bellevue). Dedicate the 15th (Fri) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at North Georgia Canopy Tours, browse the different shops at Lenox Square, appreciate the extensive heritage of Downtown Newnan, and admire the striking features of Hay House.
