Step off the beaten path and head to Point Lobos and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Carmel Art Association and Monterey's Tasty Olive Bar. Step out of Carmel with an excursion to McWay Falls in Big Sur--about 56 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, stroll through Carmel River State Beach, and explore the activities along Monterey Bay.
