Step out of the city life by going to Trail Ridge Road and Winter Park Resort. Venture out of the city with trips to Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge (in Walden) and Grand Lake (The Beach at Grand Lake & Spas & Wellness). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Bear Lake, take some stellar pictures from Farview Curve Overlook, get to know the fascinating history of Wild Basin Area, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Emerald Lake Trail.

In June in Colorado Springs, expect temperatures between 85°F during the day and 55°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to drive to Vail.

Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
On the 15th (Fri), take in nature's colorful creations at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and then cool off at Vail Mountain Resort. On the 16th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Main Street, then stop by Breckenridge Cheese & Chocolate, and then play a few rounds at Breckenridge Golf Club.

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
On the 17th (Sun), learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting, then steep yourself in history at Molly Brown House Museum, and then browse the different shops at Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Keep things going the next day: ponder the world of politics at Colorado State Capitol, take in the dramatic natural features at Flatirons, and then engage your brain at Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center.

Expect much warmer weather when traveling from Vail in June: highs in Denver hover around 84°F, while lows dip to 55°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Tue) to allow enough time to take a bus to Glenwood Springs.

Glenwood Springs occupies a scenic location at the junction of the Colorado River and the Roaring Fork River, halfway between Vail and Aspen along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
