Potomac is a census-designated place (CDP) in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, named for the nearby Potomac River. Bring the kids along to Great Falls Park and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Venture out of the city with trips to Lewis Orchard (in Dickerson) and Lockhouse 25 (in Poolesville). There's still lots to do: stroll around Clemyjontri Park, make a trip to Lockhouse 10, take in nature's colorful creations at Meadowlark Botanical Garden, and look for all kinds of wild species at McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area.
