Salt Lake City — 18 nights
Crossroads of the West
Head to Station Park and The Gatewayfor some retail therapy. Visiting Timpanogos Cave National Monument and Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge will get you outdoors. Change things up with these side-trips from Salt Lake City: Ogden (Utah State Railroad Museum, Union Station, &more), American Fork Canyon (in American Fork) and Hutchings Museum (in Lehi). There's still lots to do: take in breathtaking views at Little Cottonwood Canyon, take in the spiritual surroundings of LDS Tabernacle, take in the dramatic scenery at Doughnut Falls, and trek along Wind Caves Trail Head.
For maps, photos, ratings, and other tourist information, refer to the Salt Lake City attractions site.
If you are flying in from France, the closest major aiport is Salt Lake City International Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 37°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
