A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.Start off your visit on the 25th (Fri): browse the fresh offerings at Portland Farmers Market - Office Location, then examine the collection at Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals, and then stroll around Peninsula Park and Rose Gardens.
