Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Get some historical perspective at Fort Necessity National Battlefield and Heinz Memorial Chapel. Saint Anthony Chapel and USS Requin are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Pittsburgh side-trips: Fallingwater (in Mill Run) and Searight Toll House & Museum (in Uniontown).
