Founded in 1835, the city of Aiken was named after William Aiken, the president of the South Carolina Railroad. On the 19th (Sat), don't miss a visit to Aiken Center for the Arts, then look for gifts at The Bone-i-fide Bakery & Grooming, then steep yourself in history at Aiken County Historical Museum, and finally steep yourself in history at Redcliffe Plantation State.
