Though it may be less popular or touristy than its big brother Manhattan, Brooklyn boasts of one of the largest and hippest art districts in the United States.
On the 16th (Tue), step off the mainland to explore City Island, then take some stellar pictures from Astoria Park, then get a taste of the local shopping with Jacques Torres Chocolate, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Natchie. Here are some ideas for day two: get engrossed in the history at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, see the interesting displays at Cradle of Aviation Museum, then snap pictures at Verrazano Narrows Bridge, and finally wander the streets of Park Slope.

To see more things to do, other places to visit, where to stay, and more tourist information, read our Brooklyn trip planning website .

Expect a daytime high around 61°F in April, and nighttime lows around 45°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
