Gateway to Fun

A popular vacation destination in the central part of Florida, Kissimmee's major claim to fame remains its sunny weather and proximity to a large Disney entertainment complex.
Capone's Dinner and Show has been added to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 13th (Sat): try for a hole-in-one at Congo River Golf, then take in a show at Capone's Dinner and Show, and then have some family-friendly fun at Kissimmee Go-Karts. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 14th (Sun): take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, get engrossed in the history at Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum, then enjoy some diversion at Machine Gun America, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Rianhard.

To find other places to visit, more things to do, maps, and more tourist information, use the Kissimmee trip maker app.

Orlando to Kissimmee is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. In June, daytime highs in Kissimmee are 89°F, while nighttime lows are 74°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) early enough to go by car back home.

Central Florida attracts visitors with its subtropical climate, sandy beaches, theme parks, golf courses, and world-famous stock-car races. This part of the state is also home to numerous natural springs, many of which run through protected state parks and provide ideal natural locations for picnicking and spotting indigenous manatees and alligators. Central Florida boasts two coastlines, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that seafood is extremely popular in these parts. Tasting the local cuisine of fresh clams, lobster, mahi mahi, grouper, and yellowfin tuna is definitely one of the things to do. In addition to being a vacation hub, the central parts of Florida also house some of the country's top medical research and high-tech manufacturing facilities.
