Trails of Legends and Adventures

The center of Cherokee culture in the eastern part of the country, the town named after this Native American tribe serves as a base camp for hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, take in the exciting artwork at Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual, and then try to win big at Casino at Harrah’s Cherokee. Here are some ideas for day two: examine the collection at Museum of the Cherokee Indian, then admire the sheer force of Mingo Falls, and then relax and float downstream with 5 Rivers Adventures.

To see where to stay, maps, reviews, and more tourist information, you can read our Cherokee attractions site.

In July in Cherokee, expect temperatures between 83°F during the day and 62°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
