2 days in Leelanau County Itinerary

Kick off your visit on the 27th (Sat): admire all the interesting features of Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, then hike along Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, and then trek along Empire Bluff Trail. On the next day, hike along Pyramid Point Trail, steep yourself in history at Fishtown, and then stop by Cherry Republic of Glen Arbor.

New York City to Empire is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from New York City in August, things will get a bit cooler in Empire: highs are around 75°F and lows about 58°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 28th (Sun) so you can catch the flight back home.
