A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
On the 20th (Sat), look for gifts at Powell's City of Books, admire the natural beauty at Lan Su Chinese Garden, examine the collection at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, then take in nature's colorful creations at International Rose Test Garden, then take in nature's colorful creations at Portland Japanese Garden, and finally make a trip to Pioneer Courthouse Square. On the 21st (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: head outdoors with Portland Timbers, walk around Tom McCall Waterfront Park, and then admire the sheer force of Multnomah Falls.
