Pittsburgh — 1 night

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
On the 4th (Tue), see the interesting displays at The Nationality Rooms, stroll the grounds of Allegheny Cemetery, then see the interesting displays at Frick Art and Historical Center, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Hartwood Acres Park. Keep things going the next day: do a tasting at Greendance The Winery at Sandhill, take in the history at Bushy Run Battlefield, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Anthony Chapel, and finally steep yourself in history at Heinz Memorial Chapel.

To see reviews, more things to do, other places to visit, and more tourist information, you can read our Pittsburgh trip itinerary site.

In January, plan for daily highs up to 35°F, and evening lows to 21°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
