One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
On the 16th (Sat), stop by Cactus Quilt Shop, then take some stellar pictures from Gates Pass, and then get a taste of the local shopping with Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. On the 17th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mission San Xavier del Bac, see the interesting displays at Pima Air and Space Museum, and then explore the stunning scenery at Sabino Canyon.
