Yonkers

— 1 night
Yonkers is the fourth most populous city in the U.S. state of New York (behind New York City, Buffalo, and Rochester), and the most populous city in Westchester County. On the 13th (Sat), take in the views from Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, then see human ingenuity at work at New Croton Dam, and then try to win big at Empire City Casino. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the majestic nature at Rockefeller State Park Preserve, deepen your understanding at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, then contemplate the long history of Kykuit, and finally stroll around Matthiessen Park.

For other places to visit, maps, more things to do, and other tourist information, read Yonkers itinerary planner.

New York City to Yonkers is an approximately 1-hour car ride. In February in Yonkers, expect temperatures between 42°F during the day and 26°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) early enough to drive back home.
