Yonkers

— 1 night
Yonkers is the fourth most populous city in the U.S. state of New York (behind New York City, Buffalo, and Rochester), and the most populous city in Westchester County. Start off your visit on the 6th (Sat): make a trip to Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, admire the engineering at New Croton Dam, and then try your luck at Empire City Casino. On the next day, admire the majestic nature at Rockefeller State Park Preserve, then gain insight at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, then steep yourself in history at Kykuit, and finally stroll around Matthiessen Park.

To find maps, where to stay, reviews, and other tourist information, read Yonkers vacation website.

New York City to Yonkers is an approximately 1-hour car ride. In March, plan for daily highs up to 48°F, and evening lows to 32°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sun) to allow time to drive back home.
