Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
Get in touch with nature at Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and Alaska Botanical Garden. Step off the beaten path and head to Turnagain Arm and Beluga Point. San Jose to Anchorage is an approximately 8.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also do a combination of train, flight, and car; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and taxi. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from San Jose to Anchorage. Cooper Landing

Cooper Landing is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, United States, about 100mi south of Anchorage, at the confluence of Kenai Lake and Kenai River. Kick off your visit on the 25th (Sat): take in the dramatic scenery at Russian River Falls and then get interesting insight from Tours.
