One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
Step out of Tucson with an excursion to O.K. Corral in Tombstone--about 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: shop like a local with Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, examine the collection at Pima Air and Space Museum, take a memorable drive along Mt. Lemmon Scenic Byway, and take in the history at Mission San Xavier del Bac.

Detroit to Tucson is an approximately 8-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also fly; or drive.
