Detroit — 10 nights
The Motor City
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Maumee Bay State Park and George George Memorial Park. Step out of the city life by going to Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Maybury State Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Detroit: Paint Creek Trail (in Rochester), Toledo (National Museum of the Great Lakes & Toledo Botanical Garden) and Stony Creek Metropark (in Shelby Township). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad, admire the sheer force of Stepping Stone Falls, look for all kinds of wild species at The 577 Foundation, and get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports.
