The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
Spend the 15th (Sun) exploring nature at Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Spend the 24th (Tue) exploring nature at Red Rock Falls, Glacier National Park. The adventure continues: hike along Grinnell Glacier, take in the dramatic scenery at Virginia Falls, admire the verdant scenery at Logan Pass, and contemplate the waterfront views at Avalanche Lake.
